Nick Summersgill
Nick qualified as a Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist in 1983 having graduated from Pinderfields College in Wakefield. He has worked extensively in the public and private sector as a clinician, manager and as a teacher. He has worked with a number of professional sports teams including Keighley Cougars Rugby League, Caledonian Reds Rugby Union and St Johnstone FC with who he worked from 1998 until 2011. He is now a physiotherapy lecturer at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Nick works part-time at the surgery and specialises in the areas of sport injuries and rehabilitation but also has interests in the fields of ergonomics and neurological rehabilitation.
Benjamin Gilbert
Benjamin is a Chartered Physiotherapist who qualified in Brussels, Belgium in 2004 and came to Scotland the same year. Having worked in different hospitals in Aberdeenshire as a junior physiotherapist, he has worked for the surgery since June 2007 and now works full-time at the surgery. Benjamin specialises in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports injuries and care of the elderly. He also has interest in neurological rehabilitation. Benjamin also works with the Scottish Rugby Union.
Sarah Dickie
Sarah joined the team in August 2011. She recently qualified from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Sarah would like to specialise in sport physiotherapy, musculo-skeletal and women's health.
Registration
All our physiotherapists are registered with the Health Professional Council. The HPC is a regulator, and they were set up to protect the public. They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.
