We are pleased to share the news that we have started hydrotherapy sessions with one of our regular clients.
Hydrotherapy is a form of treatment where exercises are based in water. This type of exercise can help to reduce pain levels as the warm water (normally between 33-36 degrees in temperature!) allows relaxation of the muscles. The water also supports up to 80% of a person’s body weight, thereby reducing pain and allowing an increase in range of movement. We can also do strength training in the pool because the water provides resistance for the muscles to work against.
She is getting on very well – here is a photo of her enjoying herself in the pool!
